The Smack 20:10 is an exciting new yacht that blends contempory and traditional in a high quality custom new build.
This 30 footer has been designed by Cowes based yacht designer Guy Whitehouse. Inspired by the timeless and powerful lines of the sailing smacks of the 19th and 20th Centuries, the Smack 20:10 is a new classic with a modern underwater form and 21st century comforts.
The builders, Moreton Marine, use modern timber build methods with a very high level of attention to detail. The completed boat is beautiful, fast, and built to the highest standard, with the performance of a modern boat and the quality of a classic. The boat has a zero carbon footprint for the completed build.

The Smack is a grown-up sportsboat designed with the sailor of upmost importance. Don’t be fooled by the classical lines - she is both easy to handle and has a significant turn of speed. With the versatile rig set up enabling gentle cruising as well as aggressive racing she can appeal to any sailor in any conditions. A large mainsail provides the majority of the power, making it easy to control and strong upwind. The asymmetric spinnaker gives plenty of downwind clout, without the usual plethora of poles and lines to worry about. A large cockpit and wide clear decks give the crew plenty of uncluttered space to enjoy the moment.
The interior is aimed at open, sociable living. With standing headroom in the main living area the interior feels spacious and light. Full length windows and a window across the front of the coachroof let in plenty of light, with additional opening flush hatches letting plenty of air in. A ring frame bulkhead forward under the mast step enables an open saloon area with no mast protruding through the deck head, but without any compromise to the strength of the boat. Standing headroom in the galley, heads and separate double cabin aft provide a comfortable living space, however long you are on board. With berths for up to 6, she is the ideal layout, whether cruising with the family or racing round the cans.
